Obedience Classes |
If for some reason you can not take one of my classes with your dog, but would still like to work on his obedience, or are interested in working on something specific, then I offer private lessons. I strongly urge you to take a class if it is at all possible, as it is a great benefit to your dog to learn in the distractions of the other dogs (life is full of distractions!). And I feel so strongly about puppy classes, that if you can not make my classes, please contact me for other classes in the area that I recommend. My fee for private obedience lessons at your home is $45/hour. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please contact me at nobaddogs@wideopenwest.com NOTE: Private obedience lessons are not In-Home Behavior consultations. Private Obedience lessons are strictly for teaching sit, down, stay, come, heel, and various other skills. For more information on In-Home Behavior consultations, click here. |
Teddy CT Teddy B, U-UD, CGC, RTD Teddy's mom met me at an event and told me that she was 'untrainable' and that she would require a shock Mixed Breed Open dog in the country for 2008. She was in the top 5 Open Dogs from 2003-09, and Utility Dogs in '07. She also spent many years as a Therapy Dog at Children's Hospital... all without force... and definitely NOT a shock collar. |
Murphy Murphy Basinger, RN, CD, CGC, RTD If you know anything about Beagles, you could imagine what dedication it would take to have your Beagle earn his CD! |
Fritz JR's on the Fritz, CD Fritz was found in a local shelter, his story said something about failing police dog training. My husband, Roger, started talking to him in German, and Fritz LOVED it. We don't own Fritz, we just love him as if he is our own. Roger went on to put a CD on him. |
Zeus MACH Schmidt's-GC Catch A Falling Star at LeMac, CD, MX, MXJ Zeus' mom had competed in obedience with her other boxer, but came to me saying that she wanted to do this one right! She felt that her Heel was lacking and wanted Zeus to fully understand the exercise but at the same time, use positive training and a flat buckle collar (no choke chains!). WELL, Zeus got his CD with a third place and a score of 194!!!! (out of 200) WOW. Just qualifying with a Boxer is something to be proud of, but to place and get in the 190's- AMAZING!!! Zeus' mom is so very happy with her boy... and I am sure he is pretty happy with her!!! |

Monty Montgomerie Lyle Meckler, CD, CGC I met Monty's mom after Monty saw a squirrel and pulled her down... resulting in her needing knee surgery. She had been told by trainers that she is not hard enough on him, that she needs to be more forceful. |
